To remove Adware/Spyware you should do the following:

Run the free version of two of the following: Spybot Search & Destroy, Adaware anti-spy, SuperAntiSpyware, AdwCleaner.

Next install and run malwarebytes free version.

Now, run one of the following:

CCleaner, Glary Utilities, Tweaking.com Windows All In One tool.

For the things coming up in the browser, try AdBlock Plus as an add-on to each of your browsers.

disconnect your computer unplug everything toss it out the window into the garbage. Have your phone line disconnected from your residence. THEN purchase a new PC, and a dish comss contract

Get a dish contract or something that includes, phones cell phones, computer high speed, cable etc. it will be cheaper, and fewer local joe bondies will have the ability to spy into your coms that way, so locality based in trusions will be fewer, networked hacks will no longer target hardware except flaw, your package deal will be cheaper and you will save money. Win all the way around.

You can install Ad Block as an add on in your browser. I did and I haven't gotten ads on any websites since.

Can you upload a screen shot of the pop-up you mention so that we can know if it's caused by adware programs or other things? Here is a step by step pop-up removal instruction. I think it may help you fix the problem:)
