Assassins creed black flag help?
It says you can have 4 swivel guns and replace the fire barrels with rear cannons? I never had that option? How do you get it?

Not true. You always have fire barrels. You can however and need to upgrade your boat in order for other and better options to become available to you. Now, here's the fun part, remember those buried chests that you have to find, and come across with the maps? You need to get those to get particular upgrades. Find the dead man and bottles in different locations of your maps.
When you collect those maps in the bottles, then you will have to explore differnet islands and then find the area of those islands that the map indicates and search for the part where it tells you to dig. They are very specific so follow the maps really carefully.
Once you have those, you will uncover plans for your ship to upgrade it and you'll have to buy the upgrades, which you can do in your cabins or at harbor masters.
If you dont' want to go through all that and just want the upgrades available, buy the season pass and you will get them free, or buy the cheaper collectable time savers downloads in the playstation store for like five bucks a piece. There should be two of them.
