The one that stands out for me is AC/DC's Back In Black. I could pop on that one and be transported to my imagination, a place where the jocks didn't hassle me and my enemies could all kiss my *ss. From the opening bell to the closing of the last song, I was transported into a wonderful world of Gibson and Gretch guitars, loose women, hot sex, and general badassery, all to the sound of Brian's razor wire vocals. I could listen to it until the end of time and never lose those feelings. And now that I'm older, I own both a Gibson SG (Angus' guitar of choice) and a Newsboy hat like Brian still wears. The good stuff just never gets old!

there have been a lot of albums over the years. from the 3 dog night record (yes vinyl) that i played until it was too smooth and on into a second copy as a small child to the more contemporary album by a great big world. until the age of digital music i had a very bad habit of playing albums until they wouldn't play anymore. records, tapes, and cds all were rendered unusable. i was told that cds were impossible to do that to but i keep one just for the fact that if you look at it you can see the grooves that time etched into it wiping away the music.

The Smiths 'The Queen Is Dead'. I played it constantly through the long hot summer of 86 in my bedroom, hating myself and wanting to die. Good Times.

  • I couldn't think of a particular album but Pink Floyd came to mind. And then, I wonder, did it? I also leaned on this Album: Powerglide.
