Why is my computer still slow?

Ehh, I would honestly just go for a new computer if it's really getting that bad, but if you can actually do some stuff with it while it still works, you might want to keep trying task manager and see what in the world is taking up that much memory usage. usually when a computer runs slow it's due to some kind of program leeching your ram. Could be some kind of virus, or just a bunch of bloating software you don't need because even 1.69 gigs is pretty high. I always try to get my usage under one gigabyte when I'm not running anything

Slow and freeze do not necessarily mean malware. A computer can be slow becuase there are too many things running on it. All of these may be nominally "legitimate".
