Can getting hurt strengthen you?
I have been conducting an experiment with a friend. Every day I tell him to hit me in the same spot. Day after day the pain would decrease to the point where I barely feel like it hurt me. So is it true that my body can become more physically stronger if I get hit or is it just my brain tricking me?
Thanks for the answers guys. I'm not in any pain so don't worry. It was just an experiment.

Body adapts to pain, so simply to answer your question yes. Body adapts to pain like you're lifting weights bc you are tearing muscle fibers and restoring them. I don't see a point other than being an idiot in letting your buddy punch ya though.

That's one I've never heard before. Getting hurt will only hurt you. I'd suggest you stop before you do real damage.
