Who replaces Marcos Ambrose in 2015?
Marcos Ambrose has decided to return to Australia at the end of the season. This leaves the #9 seat open for a new driver. Who would you put in it?

Some like David Ragan or Sam Hornish, Jr. Maybe even Regan Smith, if he was Nationwide champion or somethin'. If Chase has a bad race, Smith could re-take the points lead if HE had a good race. Say Dylan "Kwasnwreckski" Kwasniewski, wrecked Chase to a DNF.

Danica? Oh yeah, that's right, Richard hates Danica. I was going to be like everybody else and say hornish or ragan, but neither name makes sense to me. Reagan smith, I'm not to sure about that name either. Armstrong hasn't done anything to say he deserves a shot, but half the drivers who came up last year really hasn't proven anything. If Richard fills that car, and I believe he will, he will stay in house and promote Dakota Armstrong.

Dakoda Armstrong should not be the replacement, he has done next to nothing in the Nationwide Series, and didn't make much noise in the Truck Series either. He just has money behind him.
The top 3 candidates are Sam Hornish Jr., David Ragan, and Brian Scott. Scott has enough talent and the sponsorship, but Hornish and Ragan are/ have been in Sprint Cup and never made a big enough splash. I think Scott deserves the chance more than the other two, but I'd be fine with any of them getting the ride.

Do like Richard Petty. Unfortunately, their program and cars leave much to be desired. So I believe the driver must be an exceptional one to make up for the lacking car. That DOES NOT mean a top flight guy demanding top pay. One like Kyle Larson, boodles of skill, and was relatively unknown.
Something tells me...although Richard seems like a very nice guy, he would be very difficult/trying to work for. ( Partially from my experience with southern types. They think differently of anything monetary.)
Added : An illustration I use often. I have NEVER experienced this anywhere but in the south. If you have a shop and :
If you offer a guy a Steak, or a Hamburger, the guy in the south will stand there and tell you "Yes, I AM a cheapskate, I will take the Hamburger. " AND don't be surprised if they ask you to cut it in half, and sell just half.
THAT IS A FACT. I have never seen the likes before moving to the south.

My best guess is Dakoda Armstrong.
He can't sign Chase Elliott because I'm pretty sure Chase is a Hendrick Development driver.

If I was Richard Petty i'd call up Martin Truex Jr.
Or I would go after Casey Mears and David Ragan. Casey and David could probably go places in that #9machine.

probably hornish or some other yokell who can drive on ovals (the only down side of ambrose, he wasn0t very good on ovals)
