Is being an emotional writer bad?

I once been told I'm an emotional writer when I write stories. I always wonder if that's bad, recently I've started writing on this new story and it's one them stories that I think about a lot.

I'm not sure if you mean by "being an emotional writer" that you pour your emotions into the story and allow it to affect the characters or events, or if you mean that you write very emotionally rather than base your writing on action and plot events. If the second is true, you should try writing short stories that take place in a short amount of time and mainly surround character or point-of-view. A great example, and one of my favorites, is The Tell Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe. Writing emotionally isn't a bad thing, but it can make writing action-packed scenes difficult.

Yes and no. I personally love an emotional book too because I like to be in another persons shoes and feel the story(haha that sounds so cheesy). But it's not good to over do it. For example, you do need a plot, the book can't be all about how the person feels, you should be describing the enviroment that the character is in.
