You can pull out the bushings with a big pair of vice grips, but it'll take time and muscle- the new ones will bolt back in place. If you want the whole rebuilt control arm and fight with the springs you're in for a fight. Don't you have a birthday soon? Ask for a Chilton's Auto Repair manual. You need it bad. The Grand Prix was nothing but trouble when they imported it from Australia. Look in the manual to see if you'd rather have the work done at a Mr Goodwrench or independent mechanic for $50-$100 per hour. Have the alignment done when all the repairs are finished. Bettter to replace the whole axle assembly than to fool around with boots and keep the much-worn cv joints.

Big expensive mistake! A Chevrolet Dealer can press the old bushings out and pull the new ones in with the lower-A frame connected by the ball joint to the spindle before you can warm the seat in up in the waiting room.
