For all you make up wearers i was wondering, why did you start? And when?

I started . . . just last year when I was 16. I wasn't too into makeup before - frankly I couldn't care less - but I've always been into the different aspects of art and during that summer I got into watching a lot of the different YouTube Gurus and that got me really interested in it. Because, if you think about it, makeup is an art and I appreciate it. So, from the videos I got really into it and wanted to try on my own.

Now I can do makeup and I'm building my collection, of course even after a year though there are things that I still don't know how to do or use, but it's a learning journey and I still getting there and to me, with makeup, you're always learning.

So, that's how and why and when I got started with makeup.

I started when I was 13.

The reason? Well, I've always been watching Michelle Phan on days off, and I've found all the makeup looks very inspiring, so that's when I started playing with makeup and occasionally applying it for school. It gave me something to do in the morning, and got me excited, so it was basically a way of waking me up bright and early. Heh.

With that, I wore concealer, translucent powder, something in the brows, something over the eyes, clear mascara, a lip tint... sometimes even blush. Quite a bit ;P

I believe i started in the 7th grade. Thats the first time i actually wore makeup out in public. But years before i loved messing around with makeup and trying to achieve some of the looks that i would see in pictures. I started wearing makeup because i just wanted to. Once i hit the 8th grade and high school, i got very into doing my makeup and i became obsessed and i have tons now! I personally also think that eyeshadow and mascara and eyeliner bring out my eyes more than no makeup.

I started having to wear stage makeup when I was three, but I'm a dancer....

I started wearing Mascara when I was going out (Not at school or to dancing) but I really only started wearing full face makeup last year, when I started grade 7 :)

Eight grade to cover some bad acne and then I just found to enjoy it. I am in tenth grade now and I wear eyeliner mascara and some powder foundation- that's all. In eighth grade I started light with only concealer- and maybe a tiny bit of mascara on some days but that's all.

I started when i was 14 because I love being able to transform a face. It's like drawing or painting for your face, its an art, and it fascinates me so much how you can make someone look completely different with just makeup. It also gives me lots of confidence when i wear it, which i LOVE!

I believe I was in Grade 10 when I started wearing makeup. Most of my friends were wearing it so,I figured why not? I didn't wear that much and not everyday unlike now where I do wear it on a daily basis. Lipstick, liner, shadow, etc.

I started in the 7th/8th grade, partly because I watched my sister do hers every day and I was very interested, and because my friend and I decided to use the extra makeup her sister had. I didn't start wearing it every day until the summer before 8th grade.

I started at he beginning of ninth grade and it was because I thought I looked better with makeup and I was beginning to have acne and it was less noticeable with makeup. I didn't wear a lot. I don't wear makeup anymore though, except on special occasions. Answer mine please if you can!

I put on tinted moisturizer, face powder, cream blush and lip gloss

I started because I love makeup and I watch a lot of makeup gurus on youtube (Bethany Mota!!!) and I never really tried makeup so me and my big sister went out and bought a few products. Makeup makes me feel confident, I just love wearing it :) And it covers my dark under eye circles :p I also love putting a bit of blush on my face just to add some color but I make it look natural.
