Do americans care if Scotland becomes independent from the UK?

    I think some may more care, but for those interested in foreign affairs will along with all the people who have Scottish or English heritage.

    Even though I have Irish blood I care very much and I hope Scotland gains their independence.

    I personally think it would be a wonderful thing for Scottish identity, culture, and pride, but it does concern me that they may not be stable enough to get by on their own just yet. Still, I think there should at least be a solid plan for transition to independence if not all at once.

    Not really. Although my child went to school in St Andrews. But defense should be a concern. How will Scotland defend itself? It cannot use golf clubs.
