Anyone read this book? Does it live up to its title as the master text?

Back when it was written almost 80 years ago it was, what is sold now is not the same version from back then the Jka took all of funakoshi sensei pictures out. And much of karate was kept secret back then.

the jka changed shotokan quite a bit. this book is more of a reflection of how they changed it, mostly with the pictures they used for the kata.

i look at the book as more of a collectors item although there is still quite a bit of information it side that is very useful.
