Why can't I refer to someone's cake as 'sick'?
Sorry, this is part of the question:
My friend is ribbing me for my inability to use the slang word 'sick' correctly.
Apparently, I cannot say 'The cake she made was sick!'. Do you agree?
Can 'sick' be an adjective, or is it a noun? Online searches suggest it means 'awesome', so I cannot see why it cannot apply to the cake... unless it's a noun. I'm sure a cake could have been 'epic', so why can't it be 'sick'?
Can anyone supply some sample correct uses of the word?

Because 'sick' actually means vomiting. Saying that word, even if you mean it in the slang term in relation to food is not very nice.

Well unless you are about 14 you should not feel the need to say someone's cake is sick, nice is preferable.
