The words 'wireless' and 'Internet' should only be used together when referring to public hotspots.
Internet performance covers the link between the ISPs local terminal site and your modem. Wireless (or WiFi) covers one of the interfaces between your router and a computer. Other interfaces can include Ethernet and USB.
Regarding your speeds and ping times, it all depends what you want from your Internet service. If you want to stream several HD movies simultaneously, then your download speed should be fine. If you are downloading large files continuously such as Linux distribution images, then the faster the speed the better.
If you are hosting a website, then your 4 Mbps is probably too small for the upload speed.Note: you don't mean mbps, you mean Mbps - M stands for Mega while m stands for milli, which is a billion times smaller.
For gaming, your ping time might be slightly high, but should be okay if it is consistent.
