Ipod Touch will not sync with Itunes? Sync Button is greyed out?
My Ipod Touch 4th gen has been syncing fine with my old macbook for a year now. Just recently (a few days ago) It no longer will sync! The ipod is recognized in itunes, it charges, but the sync button is greyed out. So what I did was check and uncheck a box, which gave me the Revert and Apply options. The ipod synced for a split second before halting the process all together as if something is blocking it. iTunes obviously recognizes something is wrong because the sync button is greyed out, and will only "un-grey" to Revert and Apply if a box is unchecked. I have tried the following
- Restoring my ipod, no luck
- Restoring through recovery mode, still nothing
- unathorizing and reauthorizing my itunes account (saw this solution on a thread, but didn't work)
- using a different usb connector
- attemping to sync the ipod touch with a different computer (which it did, but I need it to sync on my macbook :(
- reinstalling itunes, still nothing
- I am able to sync an older ipod nano with my macbook Itunes, so the problem wherein lies between the macbook Itunes and the Ipod touch
This is a very frustrating problem with likely a simple solution, but I ask for some suggestions, thank you!
