My friend is finding herself tired of teaching... what do i say to her?
My trainer friend is asking me my opinion... I don't know what to tell her. She's tired, sometimes depressed, and she says she's getting irritable with her students and horses. . I don't think she can quit or take a vacation. She teaches by herself 6 days a week, and she needs the income. She really wants my advice but I don't know what to say...

How old is she? What schooling has she completed? Has she worked anywhere else or doing anything else before? If she is really exhausted she is not doing herself or her students a favor. I can't imagine supporting herself on a trainers income unless she has some sort of word of mouth/strong reputation.
She needs to find a job that is more reliable and a stronger income. A job that has regular hours and days off so she can recharge her batteries. If she does not want to quit she NEEDS to find time to herself where she can cool her jets and relax.

Does she have any other skills, such as secretarial, computer, accounting, etc? If so, she should dust off her resume and start looking for other jobs. If not, maybe she could enroll in a training program of some kind at a community college to learn the skills she needs to be marketable to prospective employers. In either case, she'd surely find a job that was more lucrative than giving riding lessons -- and she might find that she has MORE time for her own riding.

Lots of people go through this with their careers. Maybe she could semi-retire from this job and pick up another job. For example, just keep a couple clients that she really adores and get a part time job doing something else... ANYTHING else. Maybe she could become a barn manager and teach less, or even just part time at Rite Aid or something, something that will give her a mental break.
Personally, I always work in advertising/marketing. But I have a 5 year expiration date with most jobs. I get bored about 5 years into a job and start looking for another one.
