Not a film, but the tv series Home Improvement. Tim Allen was pretty loyal to Detroit and insisted that it be set there.

Original Robocop movies but it wasn't really filmed in Detroit, it was filmed Houston, Dallas, Pittsburgh, and Atlanta (Robocop 3). The Peachtree tower is similar to the Renaissance Center in Detroit
