If I hit the minimize button it closes the application, why? I recently deleted some programs from my computer because they were adware?

BIG mistake. NEVER delete or uninstall ANY malware related programs or files. It can trash the machine if they have taken over an existing file. It can also make the infection replicate all over the disk, making it worse. ALWAYS use a proper anti-malware tool to remove them.
