Feeling guilty and down after losing my dog?

I lost one of my beautiful dogs last week and still have her best mate at home with me.

I decided to get out and about on the weekend so I took my dog to the beach and the next day we went for a nice walk along a river and had lunch together.

We had a great time but today I feel so guilty and sad because my other dog should have been with us.

I want to really spoil my other dog at the moment but on the other hand I don't feel it's right.

Is my guilt a normal part of losing my other dog?

Thanks Grim. It's so hard not having my other dog with us anymore, when she should be. She has really left an empty space. I will try not to feel too guilty. I know I can't ignore my other dogs, that would be really bad. I love them all so much and I'm glad they aren't grieving as much as I am.

Don't be guilty you've done nothing wrong, its just a part of the grieving process!! My dog died and I know I loved her and treated her well she died a happy dog. So don't stress about it, it will only make matters worse.
