Is it true that I should delete my Ancestry.com chart (200 years worth) because it can be used for identity theft?

If you have any security questions regarding family and/or any of the family members that are on your tree know any personal information about you that you would rather not have others to know, then yes you should delete the chart.

Really the only way thrives can use that for theft is if you have passwords and codes that are related to the info on there. However, if it has your ssn or any other sensative info on there, it would bewise to copy everything and back it up so you can delete it
