Is he interested or not?

i met this guy about 2 months ago while we were volunteering. he asked for my number after we got to know each other a little. we dont go to the same school but we talk almost everyday, usually not on the weekends tho. he sometimes says sweet things like youre cute perfect or i'll give you a hug when i see you. we met yesterday for volunteering again and he gave me three hugs. i think he is interested but sometimes i feel like he is a little cold. is he interested and just being shy or sometimes dont know what to say or is he not interested. please help. thanks in advance :)
