I don't like fighting but I have no problem fighting for what is right?

I don't like fighting, mainly because most fights are over something stupid that could easily be resolved by reasoning, BUT, I have no problem fighting for what is right. Is this normal?

    It's normal.

It just means that as much as you are against fighting, you are prepared to fight if it's the right thing to do.

In this world, every now and then, the right thing to do is harmful and the wrong thing is helpful.

That's normal. And what's right to you maybe wrong to someone else. So good luck in your fights ahead.

You fight either for the competition or to protect yourself if pushed too far. You don't physically fight for a cause. You do that with brain power, debate and non physical action.
