    In Active Voice, the subject is the person 'doing' the action of the verb:

    The girl slapped him.

    'him' is the 'receiver' of the action.

    In Passive Voice, the subject is the 'receiver' of the action, and the 'doer' is the object.

    He was slapped by the girl.

    BUT…the verb 'to be' (am/is/are' - 'was/were') does NOT indicate an action. It indicates a state of being, and so THERE IS NO PASSIVE VOICE FORM.
