I want to buy a title in Canada?
I'm 18, and I have a lot of money. I'm really interested in buying myself a title such as Sir or Lord, which isn't that hard to do in England (it's like 400$).
What I want to know is how do I go about doing this.
Is there a way to do it in Canada? I read a wiki article and all I got was it being debated, but no real answers.
Can I go to England, purchase the title, and return? After all, I live under the same Queen, so maybe it wouldn't be too hard to get the title.
Thanks!

The only titled nobility in Canada are members of the Canadian Royal Family.
Unlike the UK and other kingdoms, Canada doesn't grant titles of nobility to Canadian citizens.
Instead, our system of honours is called the Order of Canada. It can't be bought, only earned.
And it's only granted to Canadian who've earned it for truly outstanding achievements, exceptional dedication to their communities, and extraordinary service to Canada.
Under Canadian law, it's illegal for Canadians to receive foreign titles unless the Federal Government specifically allows it.
That's only done on a case by case business.
(i.e.: If a Canadian soldier is granted a foreign military medal, the Federal Government has to approve it before it can be awarded.)
As for going to England to buy a title, that's also illegal under British law:
"The Honours (Prevention of Abuses) Act 1925 is an Act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom, that makes the sale of peerages or any other honours illegal."

If you want to waste your time & money being scammed into buying a phony title, that's up to you.
Like the old saying goes: "Some people have more money than sense."
Knock yourself out being living proof of it. Or not. It's your choice.

Your title will have no meaning in Canada. We don't have any such titles here and in fact, if you accept one, you have to give up your citizenship - ask Lord Conrad Black how that went for him.
