Microsoft Silverlight is fine. Assuming you downloaded it from Microsofts official website.

    http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight/

If you did not download it from here, then you may have been tricked into downloading it from a dodgy source. Use AVG to do a full system scan, and see if you can sort the issue using that method. If not, then doing a system restore may be an option.

Assuming you are on Windows 7:

Start > Type "System Restore" > Select the first option > Select a Restore Point that was before you downloaded the virus, (if you can't see one, tick the box at the bottom to show more options) > Then continue through the wizard to complete a System Restore.

Thank you, I did find out the problem, it was microsofts web site, but it down loaded something else, what im not sure, I use word perfect, which comes with lightning, there was a compatibility problem with that and silver light, hence IE was doing what IE dose best, well when not going to a blue screen.

Thank you for your time, and a warning for any one using any thing but word with windows, check compatibility first.

    Thank you again

Before installing we always take the microsoft update turned to off. Microsoft will trash your computer, especially if you don;t have a legal windows, and then, even if you do sometimes. You might have to re-install windows. Then Spybot search and destroy is a great anti-virus to run.
