    In this phrase, Box means ' a group of people having the same,usual idea,reaction or thought to something'.Out of the box means , thinking different ,unique and Special :) Hope this helps

    That depends on what you are referring to. Since you are asking your question in this category you might mean when you purchase an electronic device (TV, camera, cell phone, laptop computer, etc.and it is ready to operate "out of the box" it means you do not need to set it up, it is ready to use when you take it out of the box. Of course that are a few other applications for that expression.

    Out of the box" is an expression that describes nonconformal, creative thinking. The term is used as an adverb to describe the thinking or as an adjective to describe the ideas.

    "Thinking outside of the box" means stretching your mind in unusual ways. Note, generally "outside of", not "out of", at least in Britain.

    If you buy a technical item such as a camera, it is sometimes described as "working out of the box", meaning that you can get going with it straightaway, with minimal knowledge of that sort of item.
