Can someone please help me with inventing some good arguments?

Please excuse my poor english.. I'm native dutch but I'm trying hard to not make dumb mistakes :P.

---

So, next month starts the spanish class at school and i really want to join it but there's only 1 class and a lot of schoolmates are going to enroll. However, there's only one condition.. You have to write a cover letter (or motivation letter?) and you need to have good arguments like why do you want to follow spanish class etc. There's only one problem: I can't even invent any good points xD.. Can someone please help me?

Ok so maybe this will help?

- I have French class and most of my schoolmates have German class.. French is a romanian language and so is Spanish.. I've read that spanish and french is a little bit similar?

- I want to follow the spanish class so badly and i've waited for 3 years until school gives the chance to follow Spanish.

- If I say something like: yeah I have spanish family and I want to talk to them so I need to follow Spanish class blabla.. I don't think they'll believe me because I'm Indonesian and I have an asian appearance xD.

- I'm good at learning languages.

Well, those are good reasons. Also, maybe talk about how Spanish might help you in your future more than French. Maybe you are interested in taking Latin American studies courses at university or you want to work in international business or you want to do humanitarian work, so Spanish will be more helpful.
