How do I beat the competition and get this girl?
This one girl I really like I'm not sure whether or not she likes me. I want to ask her to homecoming and whatnot but I'm not sure how. How do I get her number? How do I ask her to homecoming? Read the link for more information.
The link would answer the question of whether or not she likes me
I was talking to her and I said "I heard from my sister you spend 4 hours a night on gymnastics. How do you manage that?!" Her response to my remark was "haha. I don't know." I've heard that the laugh is anti embarrassment something or other and therefore either means that she likes me or hates me. I'm not really sure which. Though she doesn't seem to like me, my sister said she likes a different guy and I don't really think she likes me. I'm not really in her league.
I've heard people say both that she likes me and that she doesn't want to have anything to do with me so now I'm really confused. Please help me. What's going on?
She also seemed kind of nervous when I was near her. Before I started talking to her, she would randomly give me these strange half smile and wave type things. I have no idea what that was. Was it some kind of discomfort? I know what it may mean when a girl is around a guy other than me, but I don't think girls really like me. I'm not that kind of guy.
Tonight my sister just started talking to me randomly when I was walking out of her room. This was the conversation:
Her: Hey, Ben! I heard you're going to ask Mika out.
Me: Yeah... Why?
Her: No reason (she might have been smiling though I'm not sure)
Me: Wait... How did you hear that I was going to ask her out?
Her: Mom
Me: Why would you be talking to Mom about it? And why'd you ask? She doesn't like me so why do you care? I expect her to say no.
Her: Mom told me. I didn't ask.
Me: Ok. I still don't see why you'd care, but ok.
Her: I don't.
Me: Then why ask?
She didn't answer after that. She may be hiding something. Also, I asked her to ask this girl what she'd say if I were to ask her out and she said she would say that she's going with friends. However, I'm worried about a different guy now. Last Thursday, I saw this girl at a high school football game with her friends. One of which was a guy. She hugged this guy. It was just a quick hug.
I'm not too worried about him anymore. However, there was another guy that she supposedly is dating (according to the guy who is supposedly dating her). After I asked him if they were dating, he nodded and ran off. Why I asked him if they were dating is because he interrupted one of my conversations with this girl and he completely took her from me. Though I honestly didn't really try to do anything about it because I was intimidated and figured she'd be happier with this guy.
However, I told my family about this and they all laughed. Supposedly this guy has a reputation for doing bad things with girls and being a bad influence for them, so she wouldn't be dating him. My sister told me a story of how he followed a group of girls for an entire night and kept doing really creepy things. This guy is a junior and she's a freshman.
Here they are together: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=8385048161...
She smiles at me a lot when I see her and she used to give me all these shy smiles. One time, before I heard that she's supposedly dating this other guy, I passed her in the hall while she was with her friends. My eyes met hers and we kinda both held our gaze, then she smiled. It was one of the most incredible experiences of my life and I don't want to lose that. I love her so much.
