What's up with Yahoo ? This make-over looks like it was created by a third grader. Does Yahoo have a shortage of qualified people?

It's probably not a lack of qualified people, but an ample supply of unqualified people. Either that, or lots of pointy-headed managers who figure that if they're not always working on making changes, somebody will figure out that there's no reason to keep paying them.

That may be intentional since users were complaining the other version was too complicated for them to use (it wasn't). All of the recent changes are based on user requests, so don't blame the staff for the content. You can blame them for glitches, but they will work those out.

Somewhere along the line, someone felt this approach looked bitchen and when they beta-tested it, they agreed that it was better than getting poked with a pointed stick. Personally, this layout is wretched, but our opinions count for zilch.
