Associates in Art vs. Science?

If I get an Associates Degree in Arts, can I still follow careers that are intended for those with an Associates in Science or would I need to get an associates in science?

For example, if I got an Associates in Science, could I still purse Liberal Arts?

No. Associates degrees are only in the USA. They are meaningless elsewhere, and not really useful for any job. But, Arts can't do Science, and usually vice verso.
