Bought a 2005 Mazda MPV,It has 235x16x17 tires on it will that make a big difference in gas mileage?

    You are missing a number, biggie, did you mean 235/60-17? If so, that sized tire is too large for an MPV and would most definitely kill your fuel economy. If you want the best MPG possible you will want to run the OE 215/60-17 sized tires. The wider 235's cause unneeded resistance to the road surface which will lead to poorer gas mileage.

    Yes your right it should have read 235x60x17 Checked my mileage at 17MPG lower than I expected.
