Boxing: Why do so many call for Golovkin to move up and face Ward?
The way i see it is Golovkin is NO.1 at 160 and Ward is NO.1 at 168 (provided he hurrys up and fights someone). Why is GGG being scrutinised for not moving up but Ward goes unscathed when it comes to him not trying to drop a division
Golovkin has genuine business to take care of at 160 but Ward is already proven in himself in his divison.Seems to be a double standard here.what do you think?

Because Andre Ward is the undisputed champ at super middleweight. ( I know Carl Froch has done more as of late but Ward has already defeated Carl Froch before.)
On top of that ,it would be a lot easier for GGG to move up in weight than it would be for Ward to come down

The middleweights where he is seen the best fighter is a muddle with so many recognized titlists and yet he was not getting the breaks to fight any of them, either he is being avoided or there has been no grand plan by his own promoter for him at unifying all the titles. At best, he is being reduced to fighting middle to lower-tiered contenders.
I think Golovkin will be better off moving up to the super middleweights where bigger fights await him against the likes of Carl Froch and Andre Ward and up and coming Mexican sensation Zurdo Ramirez.

Because there is no viable competition for him. It is all a mismatch except Andre Ward. They said he is a product of hyping who haven't proven anything yet but they wanted him to fight Andre Ward to prove himself worthy of the hype. Funny but true. Triple G is the real deal and one of the most avoided fighter nowadays.

Why? Because Ward is American. He doesn't have to move weights or fight outside of his home country, but still gets more recognition than boxers from other countries that do.

@Nightmare you telling me Ward couldn't lose 8lb if he really wanted to?how about 164 lbs catchweight? that would be reasonable for both. Why isn't Ward screaming out for a catchweight.GGG is king at 160 whats your point?i'm sure both Ward and GGG would fight whoever they had put infront of them.GGG shouldn't be getting sh!t for not wanting to waste his opportunity at 160lbs.

Because he's at the next weight class and is a small super middleweight and is king at 168 and he also said he'd fight anyone from 154-168

Andre Ward is retired since he isn't arsed about fighting anymore so why should GGG move up and fight him.
