Why did the Bush administration deny treatment to soldiers exposed to chemical weapons in Iraq?

The Bush Abomination was all about denying responsibility for anything they did. Dick Cheney still is. I don't know if you remember Agent Orange and all the Vietnam vets who were developing cancer, and how the Pentagon denied responsibility after sending troops into areas that had been defoliated. Even people who actually lived in areas affected by Agent Orange were reporting illness after the "yellow rain."

There are military careers at stake when a screw-up happens, and political careers. For the Bush Administration to admit any kind of error was unthinkable - even while their bungling was obvious to any thinking person. The Pentagon banned photography of flag-draped coffins being flown home.

Treating people who have been made sick from operations in contaminated areas would be an admission of culpability, bad for an Administration that was as obsessed with image as the Bushies were. And, of course, some Pentagon higher-ups who might have been drummed out, or careers stalled. Image is everything.

Plain and simple.........because their stories simply did not fit the narrative that Bush was trying to sell.

If it became known, that soliders were exposed to chemical weapons........questions would be asked about that.

And had the reasons for those injuries, fit the narrative that Bush was trying to sell..........those soldiers would have been on the front page of every paper in the country......much the same way Jessica Lynch was used for propaganda purposes. Because the story Bush made up, fit the lies he was telling..............(regardless that Jessica herself called Bush a liar, in her book)

But the truth was more disturbing..........the soldiers received chemical burns, Handling the OLD stockpile of weapons........that were NOT used.......and in fact, were so old and rotted, that's how they got burned and other injuries, by just Handling them.

Saddam didn't "set any off," or attack anyone.......these were "clean up" injuries.

and in further embarrassing developments.......many of these weapons were given to Saddam by US or made by the USA.......back when Ronnie actually ARMED Saddam, in the Iraq-Iran 8 year war.

We even gave the man EXOCET missles, which Saddam later fired into the side of the USS STARK, Killing my fellow shipmates.......and then he said "OOPS!"---------

meanwhile, back at home, Saddam was *BRAGGING* about "striking the Great Satan"......

he meant us.-

But see.........we're not suppose to expose FACTS like that..........as it raises pesky questions........

so, those soldiers were told to shut up and sit down......and ordered not to talk about where their injuries actually came from. Because no one on the higher levels ***wanted**** those answers, and they sure didn't want the PRESS having those answers at the time.

They didn't. They reported all old weapons including chemical more than ten years ago.

Government is incompetent that's why you should you stand with the TP and demand a limited efficient and accountable Gov.

Our government just uses soilders and mocks them for a political agenda. At the end of the day they could careless about them and this is both the main political parties.
