1. Poor people can only live in neighborhoods that are real armpits, with lots of criminals and none of the kids go to school.
2. Poor people don't have as much access to health care and food.
3. It's hard to get a good college education and make yourself marketable, so you might never get out of the slums.

1) Higher prices for running water, outrageous fees for being late or turning on the water yourself.
2) Academics love to peg social issues on poor people, like racism, when I've noticed plenty of poor people are egalitarian.
