Would a win over Ward make GGG the number 1 fighter on the planet or would he come second or third to the likes of Mayweather and Pacquiao?

Lets say GGG moved up in February and fought and beat Ward in summer, how would rank him then?

Right now GGG is ahead of Manny. Manny hasn't beat anyone of relivance in years. Bradley & Rios please!!! He could have lost every single fight to Marquez & the only way Marquez could get the win was to KO Manny. If GGG beats Ward & its impressive then he could leapfrog Mayweather but it will be interesting to see Ward vs GGG because Ward has fought the better competition. I don't think Ward can KO him with one punch but I think he can wear down GGG & out box him & move & not be stationary for GGG to hit him. I guess the other question would be if Ward beats GGG then where does Ward stand?

It will definitely gain him some respect and he would surely make it in the top 10 p4p, but I wouldn't put him at #1 or #2 even if he beats Ward. Yes beating Ward will pretty much confirm he's the real deal, but he also need to beat other champions as well to secure the #1 p4p spot.

A win over Ward would elevate Golovkin into the top ten, arguably the top five, but he is no where near the level of Floyd or Manny, not ever Marquez or Ward for that matter. I rate Cotto higher than Golovkin. Truth be told I would like to see Golovkin fight Hopkins.

He would be the best fighter in the planet with only Guilllerno Rigondeux as his closest rival, assuming the Cuban continues to school all the pretenders many wags are claiming would beat him like Walters, Loma, Leo Santa Cruz, Quigg, Frampton

If he moved up in weight and knocked Ward out then I'd put him top 3

    Top 3

For me is YES. Thats the only competition that's left for the Triple G. The rest doesn't want to have anything to do with him. He was being avoided like a plaque.

for beating an inactive ward... he should be #4 next to klitz...

but my guess, the ring will make him #2 for a reason

    Top five, maybe top three.

Until Floyd loses or retires I don't think anyone can really take his place.
