Find yourself a full-time gig with benefits. I get ten sick days, two weeks paid vacation, a personal day... The WORKS. Back when i worked at Pep Boys i remember calling out sick was like pulling teeth. Humans get sick or are late or have previously scheduled arrangements.... What's unreasonable here is being expected to work 365 days a year without a single day off. Not the other way around.

Yes it is legal. The employer is hiring individuals who can work. If you are not serious about working, then you need not waste your time or theirs. Employers have no obligation to provide time off.

Perfectly - there is no law that says a job has to provide any time off.
