Do you like Walmart bicycles?

I don't care from them after what happened to my neighbors daughters she was crossing the street on it and a pedal came off and a tire blew in the middle of the road which caused her to hurt her knee and had to be taken to the doctors she could have been badly hurt or killed

Update:

and also this is the third bike she bought for her daughter even the other 2 she had from Walmart messed up

Depends on the brand. One of the better brands is Trek (which you can't get from walmart) I usually stick with Schwin because they are cheaper but still nice quality. My brother has a bike from walmart and has had no problems with it.

Heres the secret with bikes from ANY department store.

If the bike was assembled at the store it is STILL YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to ensure that it was done correctly. How can they do that?! Because, tucked away in the owners manual there is a paragraph or 2 that says before each use the bike must be inspected to verify it is safe to ride.

Of course, only a tiny number of people that buy a bike at a department store know what to look for, and even fewer know how to correct any problems so the store rolls the dice and usually wins- even if someone was hurt riding when it failed. The first question that the investigator asks is almost always "Did a person over the age of 18 complete a safety check before the bike was ridden on the day of the accident?" Guess what answer is usually given. Maybe you should answer this question yourself... did someone check the bike for problems before the girl got on the bike?

Ironically, perhaps, the people that least understand bikes and their risks go to these stores to buy a "cheap" bike. How cheap is a bike that fails and hurts someone?

Next time, go to a bike shop whether you purchase a bike at Walmart or not. Huh? If you get a bike from Walmart, buy it IN A BOX, take it directly to a shop, box still sealed, and have them build it. This service will cost about $50. It will be MORE expensive if the box has been opened. If you realize now that Walmart is not the place to shop for bikes then the professionals at a bike shop can help you.

Contrary to popular belief, bike shops have bikes starting at about $200. Too much? How much did that doctors visit cost?

A tire blowing out can happen on any bike. The pedal coming off is the fault of the assembler. Walmart bikes are built to a certain price point and contain low quality components. The quality bike shop bikes may look the same but you will notice the difference as soon as you ride one.

Yes! I also own some swamp land in New Mexico. Want to buy a bridge in Brooklyn, N.Y.? I also believe that pigs can fly

The owner of a LBS near me LOVES Wally World bikes. Makes most of his money repairing & upgrading them. If he sells a really good bike, he might not ever see it again.
