what controls when the coil fires a spark.
i am having a firing problem(misfiring) the coil is good and i did wires and plugs.
also certain plugs go bad every 4-6 mo. and i have to replace them.
everything is good up to the coil and i need to know what the plug that plugs into the coil goes to.

The crankshaft sensor is where the ECM gets its signal to apply voltage to what ever cylinderis to fire next. Its located behind the balancer pully in front of the engine.
