open pokemon on emulator on phone, load your save state game.
Click the start button to open the menu in pokemon, go to the last option for save.
Doing that will save the game as a .sav file (which is a native game save), and you can then just copy that into your folder where you have your pc emulator saving files to (default directory is the *emulator directory/battery). if you changed the save directory ofcourse you need to change the place where you put save files.
after putting it in your batter folder it should automatically load that .sav file and when you select continue on the game, your save file should be listed there.
if not make sure the name of the rom and the name of the save file are exactly the same.
so if the rom is "pokemon firered [U] [!].gba" then your save file needs to be "pokemon firered [U] [!].sav" otherwise it will not load your save file.

The emulator on the computer will be able to run a .sav file as this is an actual save file which would need to be loaded in game. A .sgm file is a saved state and is done by the emulator itself.
