Skyrim staying on lvl 1 ?

So been playing skyrim for a while and i never went to skill menu to lvl up.

My question is, during my play i constantly gain new skill levels , for example "sneak" leveling up. Is there a lvl cap for those skills if you stay on lv1 or will they continue to grow even tho you stay level 1 all the time?

I've never played the whole game at level 1, but I'm pretty sure that your skills will continue to increase, regardless. I've had times where I leveled up, but didn't actually go to the skills menu to officially "level up" and use the perks, etc., but my skills still continued to accumulate, so that when I did finally go and "level up" I was already to the next level and was immediately prompted to level up again.

I think the problem with playing the game this way is what Mikel said -- many of the quests won't be available to you if you stay at level 1. And there are many artifacts in the game -- special sets of armor or special weapons -- that will be "leveled" to you when you discover them, or when you begin the quest for them. So, if you're level 1, they won't be very powerful. Also, you'll miss out on the option to train with skill trainers (5x every time you level up, but if you skip them you lose them, they don't accumulate), if that matters to you. It can help you increase your skills faster.

There should not be. BUT if you do not level up you cannot do some activities.

Mjoll the Lioness (Riften) requires level 10 to do her mission, to get her as a Follower.

There are many such limitations for quests during the game.

I found level 10 to be good for general exploration.

level 12 can enter and take many caves and ruins.

Then by level 33 the Dragonborn can take on anyone, with care.

Important is the Follower, to protect the Dragonborn, and carry (mule) loot.

Exploit the leveling to your favour.

    Bandits level at 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25

    Boss level at 1, 6, 11, 16, 21, 26.

Do not level up with non-combat skills too quickly. Else, the foes will make it difficult to fight.

I consider doing Health (200) then Stamina (200), and magic (130) and later, as standards for "Skyrim" and "Hearthfire" standards.

I do not like sweaty melee so I do Archery, Sneak, Smithy, Enchantment, I consider that Armour is only needed if the Enemy can get close enough. I go light because it is the quickest way to Dragon armour.
