    All i think of is the word "領主(りょうしゅ) which means a feudal lord. A person who controls over the certain land.

    Although it's not used widely anymore.

    you should know that Japanese has a lot of homophenes so picking up one word from a Japanese text without giving any context clue is making it next to impossible for even native Japanese to give you a translation.

    Context is needed.
