Elite MTB- getting back into shape?

I may have snuggled up to the heater with a few too many cups of milo over winter and I've packed on about 4-5kg of excess weight. I'm sitting at 58 kg and my race weight is 54kg. I am an 2nd year U19JW.

Height: 165cm

Weight: 58kg

Goal Weight: 54kg

I have 4 months until the National and Oceania Championships which decide whether or not I get to represent Australia and race overseas. I know its a simple case of calories in calories out, but has any one with cycling blood got tips?

    You should have been on a trainer all winter.
