Recruited by............?
Yesterday night - while at yorkdale mall - I was recruited by Anastasia Kat of Orange Model Management. She just came up to me, told me I was beautiful, and gave me her card. She said she would email me the detail sometime this week.
My question is this: is this a legit recruitment or a somewhat elaborate scam
what do you think?

Actually yes, real, reputable model agents do approach likely candidates in the street - a friend's son was recruited in exactly this way by a perfectly respectable agency.
Having said that, the method is also used by scammers to bring in young people who will then be induced to give them lots of money. Always have your wits about you, never go anywhere alone (and your best friend is not enough - take one or both parents) never sign anything without taking it away and having it looked over carefully and research the agency who approaches you by looking at what people say about them on the internet.
And no, my friend's son didn't make a career as a model but he wasn't fleeced either.

It sounds like a typical scam.
Do you imagine that any real, reputable agencies send people out to wander around a mall?

I don't know that agency but I just did a google search and there seem to be loads of threads about them on Modelmayhem from other models who have worked with them, both positive and negative
