small claims court?
I have a judgement against a person for 5800 that recieves ssi & i was told that you cannot garnish someone who receives government check, however i found out that her husband works can i garnish the husband wages?

You cant garnish her husbands wages because your judgement is not against him...if she has any real property or vehicles that her name is on then you could possibly place a lien on the property or vehicle and if they ever sell said property or vehicle then you could recover some money. You will of course have to spend more money to get a lien ect ect so it may not be worth the trouble if they dont have anything of value

If the judgement is against her, then you could only garnish her. If she is on SSI, which is welfare, then her household income and resources are incredibly low or she would not qualify for welfare. They take her husbands income into account prior to giving her welfare.
