How do you find the eccentricity of a parabola?
Say you had a parabola of the form y^2+8y-32x+40=0. How would you calculate its eccentricity?

A circle has an eccentricity of zero, so the eccentricity shows you how "un-circular" the curve is. Bigger eccentricities are less curved.
All Parabolas have an eccentricity of 1.
* eccentricity = 0 we get a circle
* 0 < eccentricity < 1 we get an ellipse,
* eccentricity = 1 we get a parabola,
* eccentricity > 1 we get a hyperbola,
* eccentricity = ∞ we get a line,
