Depends what you mean by "large". Two 50ft tugboats could bang into each other quite hard without damage, but they are designed to bang into things. Something like a cruise ship would certainly be damaged - from the scale effect that makes toy cars so much more durable than real ones, large boats are more delicate than small ones in proportion (I don't mean that a large boat would not crush a small one, but that if it's 1000x the tonnage it's only something like 10x as strong)
