As some dev from the gaming industry put it and I'm just loosely quoting it from memory: "The finance department in most AAA publishers, who have no knowledge about games calls all the shots. When it becomes about money, it's all about supplying that demand and nothing more, so game developers are the little guys with small voices. When it becomes about money there's no innovation they just need to get their product sold and they do a good job at selling it and efficiently and promptly, but that's the problem. An artist cannot be rushed because inspiration cannot be rushed. If a game is being made and it has a deadline, then the creativity is traded for productivity, then an old concept is taken repackaged and sold to the clueless masses"

Nobody knows how to deal with the console release so I guess people are taking it slow. Borderlands Pre-Sequel is ******* rad though
