Builders sand in Goldfish tank?
Seems Bare Bottom or sand is the way most go - If I clean it well and keep filter inlet clear would there be any problem using some surplus builders sand I have?

Actually tried that when I first picked up the hobby to save money. It didn't work out, it clouded the water. Well beach sand that was. Eventually learned if it's not made for aquariums probably shouldn't use it in one.
