Weed Causing Serious Problems for Bro?

My brother has been having serious problems lately, mostly when he's not doing marijuana. I think he may be addicted (which is possible, just rare, so don't answer if you're not educated on the matter and think weed can't possibly be negative).

He feels extremely dizzy, depressed, and suicidal the longer he's sober. Its getting me very worried and we've already brought him to the hospital. He's getting a psychologist. Its just taking forever and I would really like some answers.

Is there anything he can do about this to make himself feel better? Thanks.

While it has never been clinically proven, the one time I smoked weed with my brother (who has ADHD, Autism, and depression) he became suicidal after he was no longer high. I would get him to the psychologist asap. It doesn't sound like addiction, however.

Well in your own words he is having problems only when he is not using marijuana. There are no addictive substances in marijuana so I am sorry but it is impossible to be addicted to marijuana. Marijuana can be habit forming but it is not addictive. It is you that are misinformed about this. There is a good chance your brother is on antidepressants which are both addictive and can greatly increase thoughts of suicide. You really want to look into the antidepressants he is on they can cause suicidal behavior. It is unlikely you will get a psychologist to admit this but there is plenty of good information from scholarly medical sources on the web regarding this. If you love your brother please look into the dangers of antidepressants they are both addictive and can increase thoughts of suicide.
