Beginner guitar questions?
My mom just gave me her guitar. It's a six string wooden guitar. I want to learn to play it an need a very simple explaination. I've already watched and ready about chords but the arched line confuses me. Playing confused me, change between chords confuses me. Basically explain everything but the parts of a guitar.

No one can "explain" how to play the guitar - it's something you need to learn to do, right from the beginning. You shouldn't be "confused" about any of the things you mention but the main problem is that you don't know anything about guitars or playing.
Lessons from a good, qualified teacher is best but you could also learn from a book (as I did). Obviously whatever you've done so far isn't working. The poster in your picture, for example is no use at all on it's own.

you have to arch, or else your fingers will lay flat on the strings, causing the sound to come out differently.
the parts of the guitar can get very confusing, however. depending how In-depth you want. obviously the strings are called strings. the long part you hold is the neck. just deal with that for now.
so back to playing- your fingers will hurt, and you will need to develop blisters on your fingers (which you'll get from playing) to keep some pain away when you hold the stings hard.
you need a pick to use. I think it's eaiser than playing with fingers.
so I think that's about it for right now. good luck!

The arched lines means that it is a bar chord. They are fairly difficult to play. I suggest you do a bit of reaserch on these. Changing between chords is a bit difficult too. I suggest you start with a slow song with simple chords and work your way up. Good luck:)

By the way, it's called an acoustic guitar, not a "wooden" guitar. ALL guitars are wooden, LoL ;)
