Thouhts controls heart rate?

In the evening, it seems like i cant have any stressful thoughts at all or else my heart will start beating very hard. I can hardly lift at the gym anymore. I need to lift cuz i have knee problems, leg lifts help so much. But it feels like my heart is getting weak from stress :(

Why does stress have to effect my heart so much? How do i tell my mind to leave my heart out of it?

    Try this: When you feel the uncomfortable feelings, say to yourself: "I recognize these feelings. I acknowledge them. And I accept them." (Don't fight them! This is important - fighting them makes them stronger.) Breathe slowly 4-5 times, from the tummy. Relax the jaw. Focus the gaze gently on a distant point.

    Now say to yourself "These are just deceptive brain messages that I don't need. I choose to release them. They are not worthy of my attention." And then immediately move into a new activity, preferably in a new brain area, such as dancing, cooking, walking, playing music, playing sports, whatever. Change your focus to something OUTSIDE yourself.

    Do this every time. In 3-4 weeks, the whole thing will disappear. You can do this!

    I have a lot of anxiety and I feel as if my heart is either to fast or too slow. I get panic attacks do to it. Just try to relax.
